  • WordWord Birthday Cake

    14 July 2010

Just found this adorable 2 tiered WordWorld Birthday Cake by Evanhaslanded.com site!

It features white fondant cake in two tiers with farm animals decorations in fondant and icing.

The animals were made using fondant colored in various colors.  Animals featured are: The pig, The Sheep, The Duck, The Dog and The Cow.  Their bodies were shaped using letters.

Colored flower fondant cutouts were also added to make a fun, festive background with green icing piped allover for grass.

The bottom tier was also decorated using cutout letters of the name of the Birthday Child!  Too cute!

Here are a few pictures and don't forget to check out the blog as they have tons of birthday cake ideas and pictures.

  • Word World Pinata

    26 March 2010

One of the great aspects of a pullstring pinata is that kids of all ages can have fun without the fear of being injured with a stick.  All kids have to do is pull together on several strings and the pinata will open with a tuck.  If you don't have enough pull strings to match the number of kids, just add a few extra mock strings before the party starts so all kids will have something to hold on to and not feel left out.

  • WordWorld Party Ideas For At Home Party

    03 February 2010

Here are a few pictures of a recent WordWorld Party that was a great hit!

    One reviewer:

This was an easy, no hassle solution to running to a party store and going way over budget for gift boxes to give away! The kids loved it! My daughter is still playing with the little blow out horn. More reviews.

    One reviewer:

I loved this theme because it is unique, but at the same time they have Word World on PBS, that I taped and had playing throughout the party time, and have stuffed word animals too that you can buy at Toys R Us. The supplies themselves are also comparable to regular party store supplies, so having everything deliever directly to your front door is an added bonus! More reviews.

    WordWord Birthday Party Ideas

Word World Party Craft: When kids arrive, get them start with a simple craft like a coloring activity or puzzle activity.  This way they can still keep busy while they wait for the rest of the guests to arrive.  To download some WordWorld Coloring Pages go here.

Word World Party Activities:  Organize simple Word World games and activities for young kids like a simple letter scavenger hunt, finger painting with yogurt, word scramble or pass the letters game (played like the game "pass the ball").  Another idea is to make a WordWorld Party Book. The point is to have fun and if some kids do not want to participate, that is fine too.  Some kids just like to sit and watch while others like to be in the midst of things.  Perhaps have some Word World toys on the side or in a quieter room for kids to play with.

Word World Cake or Cupcakes.  Make a WordWorld Cake with Letter Animals, 3 tiered WordWorld Cake, or simple WordWorld cupcake using cake supplies and letter cookie cutouts.

Word World Favors.  Get the fabulous WordWorld favor boxes from Celebrate Express.  Simple, easy and kids love 'em!

Another idea instead of small favor trinkets, is to get each guest a simple book.  Find dollar stores or used book stores where you can get small books for an affordable price.

  • WordWorld Cake by Cakeladyam

    30 December 2009

Here is a picture of an adorable Word World Cake by Cakeladyam on Flickr.

The WordWorld animals were created using colored fondant or sugar paste.

Use coloring gel and a toothpick to add color to regular white fondant and knead to mix in color.

Shape fondant into long strips and use each one to form letters for your animal.

Attach the letters together with water or icing to form the animal.

Use other accent colors to color in more fondant for eyes, nose, beaks, tails, etc.

    Let the fondant dry overnight.

Attach with more icing to the cake and use sparkle edible dusting powder and a small brush to lightly brush on the dusting powder.
